This guide will walk you through the process of changing your Minecraft server version effortlessly:

Step 1: Backup Your Server Before making any changes to your server version:
It's crucial to create a backup to safeguard your world data and configurations. We offer a function called "backups" on our gamepanel to simple make backups.

Step 2: Accessing Your Server Control Panel:

  1. Open your web browser and navigate to our gamepanel.
  2. Log in to your account using your credentials.
  3. Select the Minecraft server for which you want to change the version by clicking on its name or icon.

Step 3: Stopping the Server:

  1. On the "console" tab on our gamepanel are 3 buttons; "start", "restart" and "stop", click on "stop".
  2. Wait for the server to fully stop before proceeding to the next step.

Step 4: Changing the Server Version:

  1. In the server dashboard, go to the "file manager" tab, and delete the server.jar.
  2. Go to a website where you find the server.jar for your version, for example Paper.
  3. Select the desired Minecraft server version from the available options. You may be presented with a dropdown menu or a list of version choices.
  4. Download the JAR file to your device.
  5. Go to the "file manager" on our gamepanel.
  6. Click on "upload" and select the JAR you just downloaded.
  7. Wait for the server to upload the JAR.

Step 5: Starting the Server:

  1. After uploading the JAR, return to the "Console" tab in your server dashboard.
  2. Click on the button "start".
  3. Wait for the server to start up completely. The process may take a few moments as the server initializes with the new version.

Step 6: Verifying the Version Change:

  1. Once the server has started, log in to your Minecraft client.
  2. Attempt to connect to your server using the server address.
  3. Upon successful connection, verify that the server version displayed in the multiplayer menu matches the version you downloaded.

Step 7: Testing Compatibility and Functionality:

  1. After changing the server version, thoroughly test your server to ensure that all plugins, mods, and features are compatible and functioning as expected.
